Urban haute couture. The well named Beaupassage was inaugurated on August 25, 2018. This new open-air pedestrian crossing has taken place between boulevard Raspail, rue du Bac and rue de Grenelle. Nature, luxury and gastronomy: the Victoria Palace Hotel invites you to discover this exceptional place.
There is nothing left of the convent or the old garage that was once here. In the expert hands of architects Franklin Azzi and Frédéric Bourstin and landscape architect Michel Desvigne, this 10,000 square metre site has become a residential space with 59 housing units and 14 shops in a high-end gallery.
The one that is presented as “the enchanted interlude of everyday life” is entirely oriented towards excellence, as evidenced by the names of its prestigious tenants: the starred chefs Yannick Alléno, Olivier Bellin, Thierry Marx, Anne-Sophie Pic, but also the pastry chef Pierre Hermé, the butcher Alexandre Polmard and the cheese maker Nicole Barthelémy.
In this chic and wooded setting, punctuated by contemporary works of art, everyone has found their specialty: a cellar for Alléno, fast food for Pic, a street food restaurant from the sea for Bellin, a bakery for Marx, a café for Hermé. The only exception to this 100% French offer is the Japanese roaster Junichi Ymaguchi and his coffee bar.
Finally, there is “Champion Spirit Rive Gauche”, the sports hall of Thai world boxing champion Abdoulaye Fadiga.
Designed as a place of strolling and well-being, Beaupassage is the new meeting place for aesthetes and gourmets, a bubble preserved from the hustle and bustle of the city where you will want to take a break.
And in practice? Beaupassage is open every day from 7 am to midnight.
